About the material
Brass naturally oxidizes when exposed to air, developing matte greenish or brownish tones over time. If you prefer to keep the original gold tone, gently rub the piece with the green side of a kitchen sponge, always in the same direction. I include one with every order. Brass is an alloy of copper and zinc and usually does not cause allergic reactions. It may leave a light greenish mark on the skin, but this washes off easily with water and is completely harmless.
